Evaluation procedures, often in the form of peer review, play an essential role in maintaining the quality, reliability, and validity of published contents. These procedures have a direct influence on shaping the nature and quality of a journal’s editorial process. Therefore, this evaluation process must be rigorous and meet the basic standards as well as generally accepted practices within specific disciplines.
This course provides practical training to manage the editorial quality of a Diamond Open Access journal through two scenario-based activities. You'll step into the role of a publisher working to improve a journal's peer review process (Activity 1 - 3 questions) and the editorial information on its website (Activity 2 - 9 questions). In these activities, you'll analyse situations, choose the best option, and receive feedback to enhance your understanding.
The course also includes an infographic guide that details the 7 basic editorial information that should be displayed on your website.
